Inspiration from Sri Lanka: rolls, bananas, honey


I was in Haputale nearly 5 years ago and the owner of our B&B suggested the following combination for breakfast: one slice of bread topped with banana slices, plus honey sprinkled over it. I loved it! How have I never thought of it? [actually, the deliciousness also came from the Sri Lankan bananas that had become my favourite in the world]  

For my version at home I used—

2 rolls [find the recipe here]

1 banana

2 tbsp honey
