Condensed milk
Makes about 230g
500ml milk
133g sugar
At times, it’s difficult to find
condensed milk. Or it’s too expensive. On the other hand, I really need it.
So, I made it myself!
Do you know how easy it is?
In a large pan, I mixed the milk
and the sugar. I let it cook on low-medium heat for 5 minutes – until the sugar
dissolved – and then for some additional 40-45 minutes to simmer – without stirring.
I let the mix cool and I poured it
into a jar.
It will thicken as it cools.
You may leave it in the fridge
until you need it in your recipes. It is absolutely delicious! More importantly,
though, it’s made by you! ♥
